Tori Spelling's Cuff Bracelets

I just saw Tori Spelling on The View and she was giving away two bracelets from her jewelry line to each audience member. The hammered openwork cuff bracelet and the simulated jade bracelet were the gold bracelets that were being offered.

The wide honeycomb looked pretty from my vantage point, but I have found that many goldtone bracelets and other jewelry items look best in small sizes. If the item is too big, it just looks fake. I was wondering if anybody had seen the Tori Spelling jewelry line in person and could comment on whether the yellow goldtone looks like yellow gold or is it just yellow metal?

The designs are good and I have nothing against faux gold, but I like high quality fakes!

THE NEW HI-TECH SNAP BRACELET CONCEPT

silver snap bracelet

GO HERE TO SEE MORE STYLES!

Remember all the hype awhile back regarding snap bracelets? We heard all kinds of urban rumors and myths involving suicides to ritualized sexual behavior and for the life of me I can't sort it all out even now!

The snap bracelet that this entry pertains to is of the high tech variety that I can't wait to try. It's actually more of an electronic gadget than a bracelet (nope, it doesn't have anything to do with house arrest so relax).

This bracelet called Snap is an MP3 player that is worn on the wrist (thus the term bracelet) which in and of itself might not be that cool, except that the Snap bracelet can be controlled with gestures the user makes with their hand and audio feedback, not by using traditional knobs or buttons. This means that in circumstances where the usual means of operation might prove difficult or darn near impossible, flexing the wrist will get the job done and let you know the outcome via the wireless earbuds. Get this, the earbuds and MP3 player communicate with each other by no other transmission medium than the user's own skin making wires completely unnecessary and radio interference a thing of the past!

You would load your songs wirelessly via wi-fi and there you have it! This whole concept is so streamlined and cool and I wish I could say the same for the look of the snap bracelet. The trade-off for all the technology available at the flick of your wrist is that the cover for all those electronics, the bracelet, is clunky. The picture that I saw doesn't make me categorize the snap bracelet as cutting edge fashion. I think that until they are able to scale down and minimize the size of the snap bracelet, I'll continue to wear my silver and gold lo-tech jewelry and enjoy my tunes that are on my old-fashioned wired Ipod.

If they can get this electronic snap bracelet down to the size of a medium sized bangle, I'll be the first in line to SNAP it up!

As a side note, I shopped around for something comparable and came up with a wrist watch that is a recorder/MP3 player that's marketed as all things as SpyGear!
It's not wireless and it does look more like a man's device, but it stores 256 megabytes and you can listen to 5 hours of music and it's so much smaller than the wireless snap bracelet. Plus it tells you the time!

FANCY GOLD BEADED BRACELETS WITH MAGNETIC VISUAL APPEAL

Look out bangles. For those of us that don't particularly enjoy the sounds of wide gold bangle bracelets clanking on our wrists every time we move our arms, here's a comfortable (and very fancy) alternative!

14k Beaded Stretch Bracelet 7

14k Beaded Stretch Bracelet 7

It's flashy, cool and oh so very eye catching! It will be bright and sophisticated with cocktail attire or any outfit that leaves your arms bare and in need of some 14k gold decoration that will draw attention.

Before you discount the importance of this gold bracelet's charms, consider that for a real 14k gold bracelet the price almost screams wholesale! Granted, the beads are hollow gold, but real gold. I have seen similar gold bracelets on sale for the fall and holiday season that are nearly as expensive as this one that are not even real gold!

Gold bangle bracelets are fabulous but noisy and they are not cheap if you get a nice one. Gold filled or plated bracelets can be very stylish and less expensive than solid gold but they tend to look worn and cheap after a while. This cool stretch bracelet has real gold beads which will if anything look BETTER with wear, is comfortable and doesn't make a sound. Which do you think a frugal fashionista or an intelligent diva looking to expand her jewelry inventories will buy?

AN INFORMAL MOISSANITE REVIEW

I know I don’t need to tell you that manmade stuff is getting awfully close to mimicking nature, do I? We have manmade stones of the landscaping variety and then we have manmade stones trying their very hardest to look like real mine cut diamonds. They’ve been at it for years! We’re all familiar with CZ fake diamonds. We thought that DeBeers was going to be run out of business, didn’t we? Yes, it looked like we could shine like the stars on the cheap until the 3 carat CZ began to get cloudy in a short while. At least mine did and I noticed that nobody else wore their fake diamonds very long either.

Now comes the new fake lookalike diamond on the block: moissanite. Moissanite stones beat the pants off CZ hands down no doubt, but are they just as cool as diamonds? Well, here's my completely informal, unbiased review of moissanite.

Some friends of mine have gone on and an about moissanite for years now, but I have to tell you that I put a couple of moissanite pieces side by side with some less than perfect diamonds today and moissanite was just not that impressive! For one thing, several of the moissanite stones had a distinctly greenish tint! GREEN! And not in an emerald or peridot kind of way. Imagine what a diamond with hangover might look like. After getting up close and magnified in the presence of flourescent lighting the green around the gills look lightened to a pale yellow. Not a lovely rare canary yellow diamond yellow, just an off-putting color. To be fair, all moissanite stones are not the same, there are different levels of moissanites. Maybe I got a bad batch?

Granted, you could put some of the better moissanite stones in a spectacular setting and pass them off to people that don’t know what they are looking at, but YOU would know, wouldn’t you? If it were me, I’d always be paranoid about somebody talking about that fake diamond that I was lying about. Moissanite costs a tenth of what a real diamond costs, and of course you pay the same for a comparable setting of gold or platinum. I’m just not sure the savings are substantial enough to settle for a moissanite tennis bracelet, ring or earrings. Fake is fake in my opinion and I’d rather do without or get something genuine for a cheaper price.

10 CARAT DIAMOND TENNIS BRACELET or a 2 CARAT DIAMOND BRACELET for the same price

10 carat diamond tennis bracelets diamond bangle bracelet

GO HERE TO SEE MORE STYLES!

You don't have to get a 10 carat diamond tennis bracelet for it to look good on your arm. In fact you can get a lot of complements on a rather inexpensive or even CHEAP bracelet. A filled heart diamond tennis bracelet make use a few diamonds on the connecting links and may even come in 10kt gold rather than 14kt gold.

The set of the diamonds in a less expensive piece is very important. The sparkle depends on reflection of light from various angles. A large and perfect diamond can stand on its own but lesser quality stones might need a little help. A 10 carat diamond tennis bracelet constructed out ofth flawed, muddy or low quality diamonds may be more difficult to set in a way that will camouflage the defects than a bracelet set with smaller diamonds.

There are cases where bigger is not better and you may find that this holds especially true in the world of fine jewelry. A 10 carat diamond tennis bracelet sounds great in theory but may not look nearly as good as a 2 carat diamond bracelet you actually see it on your arm. A finely styled bracelet in the two carat diamond range is much more attractive in my opinion. Of course there are those people that aren't that interested in style and just want bragging rights and certainly bling sizes are running larger than life right now.

Expect to pay big bucks for a 10 carat diamond tennis bracelet set with diamonds of good color, cut and clarity. Recently I have seen appraisals for diamond tennis bracelets of this type for upwards of $18,000.00. Of course you might find one for sale at a discount on auction but be certain that you get buyer's insurance so that you are covered in case that the dream 10 carat diamond tennis bracelet doesn't turn into a nightmare.

BABY BRACELETS COMPLETE with BABY'S NAME and PEARLS for a JUNE BABY

If you're wondering what to buy as a gift for a June baby, consider a baby bracelet with baby's name and pearls! Pearls are (one of ) the birthstones for June and when paired with some Swarovski crystals or gemstones like sapphires to match pretty blue eyes makes a stunning memorable gift.

A pearl and ruby baby bracelet is unusual and unique, but the color contrast of the blood red rubies against the pearls might be a little strong for some people's taste. The combination of pearls and other less vivid gemstones along with sterling silver blocks that spell baby's name are more common.

An Add a Pearl necklace for baby is great and grows with each additional pearl and special occasion, and a baby bracelet with baby names, pearls and other charms that might have personal meaning will just add to the Add a Pearl tradition.

You might say, a pearl baby bracelet is sweet, but the baby will grow out of it very quickly, and this is certainly an issue! Pearl baby bracelets are not cheap and it's natural to wonder whether or not the gift will be enjoyed long enough to merit the expensive price tag.

The good news is that most baby bracelets now come with growth extensions so that the baby jewelry can be enjoyed for longer periods of time. Once the pearl baby bracelet is too small, you have the option of using the pearls, rubies or other gems and jewels from the baby bracelet to make another piece of jewelry suitable for big girls or even adults. Then again, if it breaks your heart to think of breaking apart that precious baby bracelet with baby's name and using the pearls for another piece of jewelry you can put it in baby's memory box and save it for your grandchildren.

DAVID YURMAN LEATHER ID BRACELET

David Yurman leather ID bracelets are the standout of the season in the David Yurman jewelry line. The ID bracelet is a classic with an edge. With the combination of sterling silver and leather Yurman jewelry has certainly hit a home run with the men.

The time could not be better for the people looking for cheap prices for David Yurman bracelets. However it is a buyer beware environment due to the large number of fakes, replicas or to use the nicer term; David Yurman inspired jewelry at wholesale prices.

If you happen to come across a gorgeous David Yurman leather ID bracelet at a bargain basement cheap price, the first thing you should do is check with the official David Yurman website to verify that your David Yurman bracelet is not a fake. I have yet to see a well crafted fake David Yurman leather ID bracelet. However, the David Yurman Renaissance link bracelets might challenge an amateur buyer to identify the knockoffs from an authentic piece of jewelry.

Occasionally you can find a lightly used David Yurman leather ID bracelet for sale on one of the auction sites at a reasonably discounted price but buyer insurance would still be a good idea as the digital images can be deceiving. If you see a flood of David Yurman bracelets for sale at unbelievable discounts it might be safe to assume that this is nothing more than a fresh shipment of David Yurman inspired silver bracelets or knockoffs.

There is more than one maufacturer David Yurman fake jewelry out there so be very careful when shopping for your David Yurman leather id bracelet and don't be afraid to ask for a certificate of authenticity just to be sure.
